The EC-135C evolved from the earlier KC-135A to serve as an airborne command and control aircraft. The initial purpose was to maintain command and control of US Air Force Nuclear forces in the event of a “first strike” by Soviet nuclear ICBMs.

The new Minicraft EC-135C is made from new tooling and includes recessed panel lines, re-fueling boom, boom, boom operator position, “C” engines, poseable landing gear and unique EC-135 communications equipment. Decals will represent the EC-135C when operating with the Strategic Air Command.
